Saving & Opening Jams

A jam is a recording of a Pixelboop session: your pattern, tempo, key, and the notes you played, captured as a loop you can return to later.

Saving happens automatically​

Pixelboop records as you play. When you finish a session (start a new jam, or stop recording), your jam is saved automatically to your device. Each saved jam keeps its full pattern plus a thumbnail of the grid, so it is easy to recognize later. You do not need to do anything to keep your work.

Opening and managing your jam library​

The jam library (browsing, reopening, and managing your saved jams) is currently rolling out to testers. Want early access? Join the Early Creator program to help shape Pixelboop.

  1. Open the jam menu from the control bar to see your jam library.
  2. Your saved jams appear as a list with names, dates, and grid thumbnails.
  3. Tap a jam to load it back onto the grid, exactly as you left it, then keep playing or build on it.

Starting a new jam​

Starting a new jam clears the grid for a fresh session. Your previous jam stays saved, so you can always reopen it from the library.
